Hotel Fletzinger has been managed by Anna Steinbacher since 2014. Anna Steinbacher was born into the hospitality industry. She grew up in Vogtareuth, where her parents run the Vogtareuther Hof. After school, she did a basic vocational school year in gastronomy. Because of her passion for cooking, Anna did an apprenticeship as a cook at the Gocklwirt on Lake Simssee. When she completed this with great success, the world was open to her. She moved into star gastronomy with the ‘Obauer’ brothers in Werfen, south of Salzburg. At the age of just 19, she starts working as an entremetier at ‘Heinz Winkler’ in Aschau in Chiemgau. In 2013, the Hotel Fletzinger was up for sale. The family fulfilled a dream and bought the hotel and Anna Steinbacher became hotel manager at the age of 20. With a great deal of discipline, determination and charm, she has successfully managed the hotel since 2014.

The Steinbacher family is the host at Hotel Fletzinger Wasserburg am Inn. Stefan and Marianne Steinbacher have been running the traditional restaurant, the Vogtareuther Hof, since 1992. Their daughter Anna runs the Hotel Fletzinger and their son Stefan Jr. creatively supports his grandfather in the family butcher’s shop in Pfaffing. Marianne Steinbacher, née Bichler comes from a family of restaurateurs. The family-run businesses include the ‘Gasthaus Bichler’ with its in-house butchery in Ramerberg near Rott am Inn, as well as the Pfaffinger Hof. Stefan Steinbacher Sr. has been breeding trout, salmon trout, rainbow trout, char and sturgeon at the Gunzenham fish ponds since 2008. All fish and meat products are sourced from the family operations.
